Job summary

City of Santa Fe Springs is hiring a Road Maintenance Technician to perform snow plowing, highway upkeep, and related construction tasks under the supervision of the Patrol Superintendent. You will support county highway operations and respond to emergencies as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least four years of road maintenance/repair experience, with ability to operate trucks and heavy equipment, work varied hours, and maintain safety records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of four years' experience in road maintenance/repair or construction.

Responsibilities

• Performs snow plowing and highway maintenance and repair work.
• Responds to emergency calls including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Operates a variety of trucks and light/heavy equipment.
• Maintains accurate maintenance records in a neat, timely manner.
• Assists with equipment maintenance such as greasing, oil changes, cleaning, and blade changes.
• Performs related labor and semi-skilled tasks.
