Job summary

The City of Frisco is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform broad maintenance and repair tasks for public works infrastructure. You will work on streets, water, sewer, meters, stormwater, and related systems, operating a range of tools and equipment, and ensuring safe, compliant work practices.

You will inspect equipment, assist in emergency responses, and provide customer service to residents while following City policies. Regular attendance and flexibility for on-call support may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general maintenance and repair techniques for common tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of operation and maintenance of light equipment, power and hand tools.
• Safe handling techniques for hazardous chemicals and materials.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide variety of repair and maintenance for the City’s public works infrastructure.
• Directs traffic, places barricades, signage and cones as directed for safety.
• Provides customer service to residents for infrastructure inquiries and concerns.
• Inspects and maintains equipment and tools in safe order.
• Completes reports on daily work assignments and activities.
