City of Galveston is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform maintenance and repair tasks within the public works infrastructure. Under general supervision, you will operate light vehicles, repair water and sewer components, and assist with concrete projects and street maintenance.

You will maintain tools and equipment, follow city policies, and interact professionally with residents and staff. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 90 pounds, with opportunity to train

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of public works maintenance and repair experience.
• Possession of a valid Texas Driver’s License; CDL may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Operates light motorized vehicles and equipment.
• Repairs water and sewer cuts.
• Repairs curves, walkways, sidewalks and driveways.
• Repairs cave-ins.
• Participates in concrete projects.
• Maintains and organizes tools and equipment.
• May provide work training to other employees.
