Job summary

City of Denison is seeking a Public Works/Utilities Maintenance worker to perform routine field tasks across sanitation, streets, parks and water/wastewater infrastructure. You must lift, drive, and operate basic equipment and follow safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include assisting field crews, repairing and maintaining equipment, and working with city vehicles. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required; a good driving record is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma/GED
• Must have valid driver's license
• Must have driving record sufficient for coverage by City's auto liability carrier

Responsibilities

• Performs utility field work related to Public Works maintenance and repair. Divisions include sanitation, streets, parks and recreation, and distribution/collection
• Assist field crews with installation, repair, maintenance of parks, city streets, residential and commercial pick up, and water/wastewater infrastructure
• Drive and operate heavy equipment for divisional maintenance/repair activities
• Services equipment and City vehicles with water, gas, oil and air.
• May be required to work in other Public Works divisions as needed
• Operate equipment/tools such as pipe saws, cutters, wrenches, weed eaters, mowers, and other various items, etc.
