Qualifications

• Knowledge of safe operation of hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of operating instructions and safety aspects of public works equipment.
• Ability to navigate and route efficiently.
• Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Collect refuse and recycling within all city districts and parks.
• Unload hand tools and power equipment from vehicle.
• Operate broom, vacuum, or blower for cleaning public areas and sidewalks.
• Drive a semi-automated packer truck to remove recycling and debris.
• Drive dump trucks to transport materials and spread materials.
