Job summary

River Vale Township is seeking a Public Works Laborer for a full-time role to perform routine work on streets, drains, sewers, parks and public facilities. The job includes snow removal, leaf and waste collection, and recycling duties in all weather conditions. Candidates must hold a valid New Jersey driver’s license and be able to obtain a CDL Class A within one year of hire.

A background check and drug test are required; residency in New Jersey is mandated by state law. EOE.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey driver's license is required.
• CDL Class A must be obtained within one year of hire.
• New Jersey residency is required by state law.
• Must be able to perform heavy manual labor in adverse weather.

Responsibilities

• Maintain streets, drains, sewers, parks and public facilities.
