Job summary

The City of Vernon is seeking a Management Intern in Public Works for a part-time, temporary assignment. Under close supervision, you will provide administrative, parapro, and research support while gaining exposure to municipal operations.

You will gather data, prepare reports, assist surveys, and help coordinate events, with duties requiring discretion and the ability to work with staff and the public.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student or have recently graduated.

Responsibilities

• Gather, compile, and analyze data for departmental studies and projects.
• Prepare written reports with findings and recommendations.
• Assist in surveys and research related to municipal policies and services.
• Create charts, tables, spreadsheets, flyers, forms, and diagrams.
