The City of McKinney seeks an experienced Construction Inspector to monitor and inspect municipal infrastructure construction projects. You will ensure adherence to approved plans, safety standards, and city regulations while coordinating with Public Works and other departments.

Daily work involves site visits, documentation, and collaboration with contractors, developers, and residents. A valid Texas driver’s license and five years of related experience are preferred.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED plus vocational/technical training with five years of related experience.
• Experience inspecting municipal infrastructure and understanding plans, specs, and standards.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver's License is required.

Mansioni

• Inspect public infrastructure construction to ensure compliance with McKinney standards.
• Coordinate inspections with City departments and external contractors.
• Maintain inspection records using EnerGov and Blue Beam.
• Identify safety concerns and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Issue Stop Work Orders for ongoing violations and noncompliance.
• Travel to 15–20 job sites daily and document conditions.
