Job summary

City of Prescott seeks a GIS Specialist to manage public works infrastructure data, focusing on sewer, water, stormwater, and pavement networks. The role supports the EAM system, analyzes data for official reports, and creates essential maps for projects.

The position requires a high school diploma with preferred GIS/Engineering/Geography credentials and relevant experience. ArcGIS proficiency and field data collection skills are essential. This is a full-time, on-site role in Prescott, AZ.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent is required.
A degree or certificate in GIS, Engineering, Geography, or related field preferred.
One year of professional experience desirable; internships or coursework can count for candidates.

Responsibilities

Performs data entry and spatial updates for infrastructure networks from multiple sources.
Ensures data integrity between GIS feature classes and the EAM system.
Identifies and resolves utility network errors to maintain topology standards.
Prepares maps, figures, statistics for official reports and presentations.
Supports field data collection projects using ArcGIS field apps.
Assists in developing and maintaining GIS web applications for data access.
Documents GIS projects, workflows, and data standards clearly.
Provides training and technical assistance to staff on GIS tools.
