Job summary

City of Rowlett seeks a Maintenance Specialist II to perform semi-skilled and skilled work on water, wastewater, streets, and drainage systems under supervision. Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 3 years of experience in construction, maintenance and repair of streets and drainage.
• At least 1 year of equipment operation experience.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on City water, wastewater, streets and drainage systems under supervision.
• Assist Crew Leader and supervise Maintenance Specialists when needed.
• Plan, schedule and implement maintenance activities to ensure quality services.
• Inspect equipment and ensure safety per MUTCD and proper preventive maintenance.
• Respond to complaints about asphalt, concrete and drainage repairs, and coordinate with residents.
