Job summary

The City of St. Cloud is hiring an Equipment Operator I – Limited to perform a range of semi-skilled and skilled tasks, including heavy equipment operation and substantial manual labor to maintain streets, alleys, and other municipal infrastructure. This role includes collecting and disposing of solid waste, recycling, and yard waste, with work at the compost site.

Qualifications

Experience operating heavy and light-duty equipment for city operations.
Ability to perform heavy manual labor and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

Maintains, repairs and performs construction related activities of city infrastructure.
Operate a wide variety of heavy and light-duty equipment, attachments, and trailers to perform city operations and engage in maintenance, repair, and construction activities.
Performs regular heavy manual labor collecting and disposing of solid waste, recyclables, and related materials, and load them into collection vehicles.
Performs patching, crack repair, pothole filling, concrete work, overlays, and spray patching.
Shovel, blow, and plow snow; mix and apply and anti-icing products.
