Job summary

Gfoat in Farmers Branch, TX seeks a Graduate Engineer (Engineer in Training) to support plan reviews, respond to citizen requests, and provide technical services to contractors and developers. You will assist senior staff with design, documentation, and project management of in-house public works projects.

Under supervision, you will read plans, analyze problems, and prepare recommendations in writing and speech, using AutoCAD and GIS to retrieve data and ensure compliance with city standards.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Civil Engineering.
• EIT Certification preferred.
• No prior work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical staff assistance to the City Engineer and other staff in the completion of duties.
• Provide customer service to internal and external customers and support to divisions and City departments.
• Read and interpret engineering plans, analyze problems, formulate feasible solutions, and communicate recommendations to consultants and developers.
