Job summary

The Village of Bensenville, IL is seeking a full-time Utilities Division Distribution Technician I/II in the Public Works Department. The role involves performing semi-skilled and skilled tasks in construction, maintenance, and repair of underground infrastructure and utilities, with a focus on customer service to residents and the public.

Qualifications

• Experience in Public Works utilities, streets, forestry a plus.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, analytical and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in construction, maintenance, and repair of underground infrastructure and utilities.
• Assist in removal of snow and ice from Village streets, sidewalks, parking lots, and facilities.
• Provide responsive, courteous, and efficient service to residents and public.
• Work with other Village departments and anticipate problems before they develop.
