Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Public Administration, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of progressively responsible municipal public works experience.
• 3–5 years in a senior management position.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Master’s degree (preferred).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred).
• Project management and capital planning experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation, administration, and overall performance of the Public Works Department.
• Manage multiple priorities with autonomy and technical expertise.
• Engage staff, elected officials, and the public with strong communication.
• Direct reports include Fleet Operations Manager, Utilities Manager, Operations Manager, Utilities Engineering, Waste Contract Manager, and an Office Manager.
