Job summary

Halff is seeking a Director of Public Works in Oklahoma City to lead and coordinate multiple engineering teams, drive regional growth, and ensure high-quality project delivery while maintaining compliance with industry standards and safety guidelines.

Qualified candidates bring a Civil Engineering degree, PE license, 10+ years of experience, and at least 3 years in leadership. You will mentor staff, manage budgets, and collaborate with clients and business development to pursue opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
• 10+ years of proven experience in the discipline.
• 3+ years in a team leadership role.
• Professional Engineering license in their discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple teams of engineers and/or other professional staff within their discipline.
• Lead and coordinate annual sales goal for managing team(s).
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.
• Set performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.
• Oversee planning, design, and implementation of projects within their discipline.
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to understand project requirements and deliverables.
• Lead efforts for Practice's and firm's regional growth.
• Monitor project progress and provide strategic solutions for successful execution.
• Review and approve designs, calculations, and drawings for compliance.
• Stay updated on advancements and apply them to project outcomes.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs.
• Collaborate with business development teams to prepare proposals, presentations, and bids.
• Implement and uphold rigorous quality control processes.
• Ensure all projects adhere to relevant codes, regulations, and safety guidelines.
