Affion Public seeks a Director of Public Works for the City of Taylor, Texas. You will lead engineering, inspections, streets and drainage, parks, cemetery operations, solid waste, and water/wastewater services.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least five years in public works, with Texas PE licensure preferred. Salary ranges from $175k to $190k annually, with relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, engineering, construction management, or closely related field.
• At least five years of progressively responsible Public Works experience with supervisory and budgeting responsibilities.
• Texas Professional Engineer licensure (preferred) and valid driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Plan, direct, and coordinate Public Works Administration, Engineering/Inspection, Streets/Drainage, Parks, Cemetery, Solid Waste, Utility Construction, Water, and Wastewater.
• Manage contracts with consulting engineers, private contractors, and other governmental entities.
• Represent the department in meetings with City management, boards, commissions, and City Council.
• Oversee budgets, asset management, safety, regulatory compliance, and emergency response.
