Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of civil engineering principles and municipal public works.

• Ability to plan, supervise, inspect, and participate in diverse engineering, planning, and maintenance activities.
• Ability to develop plans and programs and make policy/engineering decisions.
• Ability to work effectively with the public and with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Divisions within the Department of Public Works.
• Supervise the City Engineer and assist with design, plans, specs, estimates, and inspections.
• Oversee projects in water, streets, drainage, sanitation, and engineering.
• Prepare and review annual department budget and capital improvement plan.
