Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Planning, Public administration, or related field desirable.
• Minimum of five years of experience in planning, construction, maintenance, or operations of public facilities, utilities or transportation systems.
• At least three years of experience at a managerial level with supervision of professional staff.
• Extensive knowledge of Public Works operation and federal/state regulations relevant to Public Works facilities.
• Valid Driver License required.

Responsibilities

• Provide department leadership by developing and implementing a strategic vision for Public Works assets and staff.
• Plan, budget, and supervise short- and long-term operations and maintenance activities.
• Contribute to the Capital Improvement Plan and coordinate project design and construction.
• Hire, evaluate, and supervise Public Works staff in accordance with Personnel Regulations.
• Prepare and manage annual operating budgets for Public Works and related utilities.
