Job summary

The City of Fullerton is seeking an Assistant Engineer to help plan, design, and deliver public works projects. You will review plans, conduct design calculations, and support inspections under supervision.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Engineering (EIT acceptable) and at least two years of civil engineering experience. A Class A CA driver license is required, and flexibility to meet city needs is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or possession of CA Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
• Two years of civil engineering experience or related work.

Responsibilities

• Review plans for public works construction projects and ensure compliance with regs and standards.
• Perform design and project calculations and prepare technical reports, specs, maps, and contracts.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors; manage progress and approvals.
