Job summary

Ogden City Government is seeking a Construction Inspector to perform technical inspection and plans examining to ensure compliance with right of way codes and Ogden City Engineering Standards. The role reports to the Lead Construction Inspector/City Engineer and works within the Public Services Department, Engineering Division.

The position requires at least two years of surveying or construction experience and a valid Utah driver's license.

Qualifications

• Two years surveying or construction experience.
• Higher levels require additional experience up to eight years and NICET certifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate data collection survey equipment.
• Determine appropriate traffic control measures.
• Inspect work quality and materials on public works projects.
• Check line, grade, size, elevation, and location of structures.

Education

High school diploma or its equivalent

NICET certifications (where applicable)
