Gulfshoresal is seeking a civil inspector to perform site inspections and ensure compliance with plans and standards. You will review construction plans, prepare daily reports, and maintain project records while coordinating with multiple city and utility teams.

The role involves meeting with contractors to review progress and ensuring safety practices such as trenching, traffic control, and regulatory adherence. Strong communication and document interpretation are essential for success.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent; 6 months of related civil engineering design, construction, inspection, or maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and basic digital tools.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, and specifications.

Responsabilidades

• Inspects construction sites for compliance with plans and standards.
• Reviews proposed plans and provides written comments and corrections.
• Prepares daily inspection reports and maintains records.
• Liaises between engineering, construction, and utility teams to ensure smooth project flow.
• Meets with contractors to review progress, specs, and drawings.
• Ensures trenching/shoring and traffic control procedures are followed.
• Coordinates shutdowns with City staff and answers public inquiries.
