Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline required.
• Engineer in Training certificate or ability to obtain within one year.
• Must become a Professional Engineer in Iowa within five years.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects and prepare estimates for civil engineering plans.
• Design streets, water and sewer systems and related public works.
• Supervise staff in study, development, design and field inspections.
• Prepare plans, cost estimates and contract documents for major projects.
• Answer questions from staff, contractors and the public.
• Assist in budget preparation and CIP estimates.
