Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering from an accredited program.
• FE exam passed or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• At least one year of progressively responsible professional civil engineering experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, Bluebeam, Cartegraph, and GPS surveying is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the City’s right-of-way management ordinance with on-site inspections.
• Review and process engineering-related building permits and Certificates of Survey for conformance.
• Collect and manage traffic data, including installing/removing traffic tubes and counters.
• Maintain as-built record plans for municipal and developer projects.
• Prepare engineering reviews for private land development per city codes and plans.
• Review developer public improvements for conformance with standards and policies.
• Assist in delivering municipal projects including cost estimates and construction documents.
• Oversee construction of public improvements ensuring compliance and safety.
