Job summary

The City of Lakeville seeks a Graduate Engineer to contribute to Engineering and Public Works projects, from data collection to design and planning. You will assist division staff in applying civil engineering principles to public works while gaining hands-on field experience.

Responsibilities include data collection, design, cost estimates, and review of project records, with opportunities for construction observation and collaboration with experienced teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or will obtain within 6 months.
• FE exam completed or within 6 months.
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of civil engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and complete work accurately on time.
• Valid US driver's license.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and terrains.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering projects including data collection, design, and construction observation.
• Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Review and maintain project records.
• Assist with designing municipal improvement projects and related documents.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.
