Job summary

The City of Midwest City seeks a Capital Projects Engineer to lead planning, directing and coordinating capital improvement projects for Public Works. You will manage scopes, bids, grants, and overall project execution, supervising project managers and inspectors along the way.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree and Oklahoma PE licensure (or ability to obtain within six months), with a valid driver’s license and strong supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Requires a four-year degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer by the State of Oklahoma or ability to obtain within six months.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate capital improvement projects from planning through completion.
• Develop scopes of work, RFP/RFB, bid evaluation, scheduling, procurement, and project management.
• Supervise project managers and inspectors; perform supervisory duties and evaluations.
• Coordinate with consultants and agencies on planning and funding; present to City Council and committees.
• Prepare funding estimates, cost analyses, and priority recommendations for projects.
