Job summary

The Village of Buffalo Grove seeks an experienced Public Works Crew Leader to supervise a building maintenance crew responsible for municipal buildings, systems, and street lighting. The role requires hands-on trade skills and leadership to prioritize work and ensure safety and quality.

Responsibilities include coordinating tasks, training new staff, and using Cartegraph on mobile devices. A Class B CDL with Air Brakes or ability to obtain within 6 months is preferred; EPA 608 is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising a crew and coordinating maintenance tasks.
• HVAC/R, electrical, plumbing, or BAS knowledge is preferred.
• EPA Section 608 Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a maintenance crew and assign daily tasks.
• Perform or supervise carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and building maintenance work.
• Document activities using Cartegraph and ensure safety standards.
