Job summary

Milwaukee PBS, southeastern Wisconsin's leading non-commercial media organization, seeks a Director/Producer to create content focused on the people and issues important to the region. This role produces and directs content for broadcast and digital platforms, upholding journalistic standards and using new technologies.

The ideal candidate brings strong storytelling, collaboration with production teams, and leadership to guide on-set staff while managing budgets and promoting community

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with three years’ media experience.
• The candidate should have media industry exposure and journalistic sensibilities.
• Evidence of storytelling and production planning is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end video shoot operations from scouting to release.
• Pitch story ideas and book segments for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Direct technical and production crews on location and in editing sessions.
• Manage budgets and draft funding proposals for campaigns.
• Collaborate with Marketing to promote content and engage the community.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, students, and external partners.
