Job summary

BKF is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Government Solutions team serving public agency clients across the Bay Area. Based in the Richmond area, you will support delivery of transportation and CIP projects, collaborating with project managers, agency staff, and multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, bidding, and construction support.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in transportation engineering, focusing on roadway systems and multimodal corridors.
B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
EIT certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Design and coordinate transportation infrastructure projects (roadways, corridors, roundabouts, curbs, retaining walls, overpasses, transit facilities, ADA ramps).
Coordinate traffic engineering projects (signal design, pavement markings, signage, multimodal improvements).
Prepare geometric design plans and profiles compliant with Caltrans and local standards.
Develop grading, drainage, and stormwater plans for transportation corridors.
Collaborate with agencies and utilities; manage project tasks with increasing independence.
