Job summary

City of Albuquerque seeks a transit bus operator to perform scheduled route drives, ensure passenger safety, and maintain professional public interactions. You will monitor fare collection, assist disabled riders, and complete incident reports as needed.

The role requires a COP within six months of hire, NM driver license (or ability to obtain by hire), and eventual CDL with P endorsement after training. Applicants should be able to work varied shifts and comply with USDOT testing requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of customer service experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possession of a valid City Operator's Permit (COP) within six months from hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Transit bus on an assigned route and time schedule.
• Safely pick up and discharge passengers and monitor fare collection.
