Public Transit Dispatcher Position Overview:

This is communications work in receiving and dispatching accurate information to the Public Transit Division of the Department of Parking and Public Transit. Work involves responsibility for the flow of information between customers on the telephone and the drivers on the road in order to facilitate the timely, safe pick up of all scheduled riders.

Qualifications and Necessary Special Requirements:

High school diploma or GED certificate, experience in operating communications equipment and a personal computer; or any combination of education, training, and experience.

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
