Job summary

Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) invites student interns to join the Ridership and Mobility Analysis team for a summer internship focused on data analysis, dashboards, and actionable insights about ridership and regional mobility.

Interns will rotate across departments, gain hands-on transit industry experience, and work under supervision of an executive or designee. Internship duration is up to 13 weeks.

Qualifications

• Must be attending an accredited college or university pursuing a degree relevant to the internship.

Responsibilities

• Compile, review and analyze data; produce reports.
• Research data for management, operations, technical and administrative reports.
• Produce project-specific work products such as presentations and dashboards.
• Assist in training sessions and attend department meetings.
• Participate in departmental meetings.
