Job summary

The Municipality of Anchorage Public Transportation is seeking a dedicated vehicle cleaner and service technician. The role requires a valid Alaska CDL Class B with passenger endorsement and focuses on keeping diesel and gasoline buses ready for service.

The position offers 40 hours per week with shifts based on seniority, including night shifts. Applicants must meet the education and health requirements, pass drug screening and a full physical exam.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent and six (6) months experience in cleaning and/or servicing vehicles or equipment.
• Must possess a valid State of Alaska Class B CDL with passenger endorsement and no air brake restriction at time of hire.
• Satisfactory drug screening at time of hire and a satisfactory physical examination with audiogram.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and servicing of diesel and gasoline powered vehicles and equipment.
• Refuel, clean, operate the bus wash machine, and make minor repairs as needed.
