Job summary

Isla Bella Beach Resort in Marathon, FL seeks a dependable Housekeeping Houseperson to support Room Attendants and assist with daily housekeeping operations, including linens, supplies, trash removal, and moving furniture.

You will help maintain a clean, welcoming environment, respond to guest requests, and uphold resort standards while working as part of a collaborative housekeeping team.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, cleaning, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Dependable, hardworking, and able to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Friendly and professional when interacting with guests and coworkers.
• Ability to follow instructions and established cleaning and safety procedures.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Public Area Cleaning & Maintenance: Clean and maintain resort public areas, including restrooms, hallways, stairwells, foyers, elevators, and other assigned spaces.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, polish, and sanitize surfaces according to resort cleanliness standards.
• Empty trash receptacles and properly dispose of waste.
• Clean mirrors, elevator doors, guest room door numbers, corridor walls, and other surfaces.
• Remove spots, marks, and debris from walls, doors, and common areas.
• Straighten furniture and décor to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming appearance.
• Assist with moving furniture and completing other physically demanding housekeeping tasks.
• Step in to support Room Attendants during busy periods.
• Guest Service & Teamwork: Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Respond to guest questions and requests promptly and courteously.
• Provide directions and general information about resort amenities and services.
• Communicate guest requests or concerns to the appropriate department when additional assistance is needed.
• Work closely with Housekeeping leadership and other resort departments to maintain an exceptional guest experience.
• Safety & Resort Standards: Identify and promptly report maintenance concerns, hazardous conditions, or safety concerns.
• Follow all resort safety, security, sanitation, and emergency procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies safely and according to established procedures.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Attend required meetings and training sessions.
• Perform additional duties and special assignments as requested by management.
