Job summary

Isla Bella Beach Resort is seeking a dependable and hardworking Housekeeping Houseperson to join our team. You will help maintain clean and welcoming spaces while supporting Room Attendants with linens, supplies, trash removal, and daily housekeeping operations.

This role involves assisting with furniture moving, deep cleaning, and guest requests to help ensure our resort meets cleanliness and service standards.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, cleaning, hotel or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Dependable, hardworking, and able to complete tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Friendly and professional when interacting with guests and coworkers.
• Ability to follow instructions and established cleaning and safety procedures.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Public Area Cleaning & Maintenance: Clean and maintain resort public areas, restrooms, hallways, stairwells, foyers, elevators, and other spaces.
• Sweep, mop, dust, polish, and sanitize surfaces according to standards.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste.
• Clean mirrors, elevator doors, corridor walls, and other surfaces.
• Move furniture as needed for cleaning and maintenance.
• Support Room Attendants with linens, supplies, and carts.
• Restock housekeeping supplies and maintain organized storage areas.
• Assist with deep-cleaning projects and special housekeeping assignments.
• Step in to support team during busy periods.

Job Summary

Isla Bella Beach Resort is seeking a dependable and hardworking Housekeeping Houseperson to join our team!

As a Housekeeping Houseperson, you will help maintain clean and welcoming resort spaces while supporting our Room Attendants with linens, supplies, trash removal, and daily housekeeping operations. You will also assist with furniture moving, deep cleaning, and guest requests to help ensure our resort consistently meets its cleanliness and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Public Area Cleaning & Maintenance

Clean and maintain resort public areas, including restrooms, hallways, stairwells, foyers, elevators, and other assigned spaces.

Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, polish, and sanitize surfaces according to resort cleanliness standards.

Empty trash receptacles and properly dispose of waste.

Clean mirrors, elevator doors, guest room door numbers, corridor walls, and other surfaces.

Remove spots, marks, and debris from walls, doors, and common areas.

Straighten furniture and décor to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming appearance.

Monitor assigned areas throughout the shift and address cleanliness needs as they arise.

Collect and remove soiled linens and trash from Room Attendant carts and designated guest room areas.

Deliver clean linens, guest amenities, cleaning supplies, and other items to Room Attendants as needed.

Restock housekeeping supplies and maintain organized linen and storage areas.

Assist with turning mattresses, moving furniture, and completing other physically demanding housekeeping tasks.

Support carpet and upholstery cleaning by moving and replacing furniture as directed.

Assist with deep-cleaning projects and special housekeeping assignments.

Step in to support Room Attendants and other Housekeeping team members during busy periods.

Guest Service & Teamwork

Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.

Respond to guest questions and requests promptly and courteously.

Provide directions and general information about resort amenities and services.

Communicate guest requests or concerns to the appropriate department when additional assistance is needed.

Work closely with Housekeeping leadership and other resort departments to maintain an exceptional guest experience.

Safety & Resort Standards

Identify and promptly report maintenance concerns, hazardous conditions, suspicious activity, or other safety concerns.

Follow all resort safety, security, sanitation, and emergency procedures.

Use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies safely and according to established procedures.

Maintain housekeeping equipment and work areas in a clean and organized condition.

Attend required meetings and training sessions.

Perform additional duties and special assignments as requested by management.

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally, with assistance or equipment as appropriate.

Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
