Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Bethesda Downtown is seeking a motivated Houseperson/Public Space Attendant to maintain the cleanliness and presentation of our hotel’s public areas including lobbies and corridors. You will join a TEAM focused on delivering a welcoming guest experience with attention to detail and pride in your work.

The role involves cleaning and stocking public spaces, supporting room attendants, and contributing to a safe, organized environment.

Qualifications

• Prior hotel, housekeeping, public-area, janitorial, or similar experience is preferred, but training may be provided.
• Friendly, positive attitude and excellent guest-service skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain hotel public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other guest-facing spaces.
• Vacuum, mop, scrub, and polish floors and surfaces as needed.
• Dust, clean, and polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Assist with guest requests and support room attendants as needed.
