Job summary

Block-by-Block California is seeking a Cleaning Ambassador to keep public spaces clean and welcoming. You will be visible on the street, engage with pedestrians, and perform outdoor cleaning tasks across your assigned zone.

This role offers weekly pay, pay advances, PTO, free uniforms, and an Employee Assistance Program. Requirements include one year of cleaning experience (training provided), a HS diploma or GED, and being 18+ with background check clearance.

Qualifications

• One year of cleaning experience preferred; training provided.
• Must have a HS Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old and pass background check and drug test.
• Ability to walk or move outdoors for long periods and work in all conditions.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning tasks in the assigned zone with a positive demeanor.
• Greet pedestrians and provide directions or city information.
• Remove litter and graffiti from streets, sidewalks, posts and boxes.
• Pull weeds at tree wells and cracks in sidewalks.
• Damp wipe outdoor surfaces and maintain cleanliness.
• Report safety concerns and complete basic daily task reports in English.
