Maine Division for the Blind and Visually Impaired (DBVI) seeks an experienced Assistant Director to join its leadership team in Augusta. Lead strategic and operational efforts, oversee programs, and ensure program performance and compliance while traveling statewide as needed.

Qualifications

• Eight years of experience managing or overseeing programs serving individuals who are blind or visually impaired.
• Preference for master’s degree and/or CRC/COMS/CLVT/CVRT certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies and policies for DBVI.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and monitor program performance and compliance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop staff across multiple programs.
• Manage contracts, agreements, and partnerships with stakeholders.
• Support budget development and resource allocation.
