Job summary

The Department of Licensing (DOL) in Washington State seeks a Licensing Services Representative (LSR2) to join the Bellingham team. In-person position Tue–Sat, handling driver licenses, enhanced licenses, and IDs with a focus on customer service excellence.

You will issue licenses, conduct driving skills assessments, and handle sensitive information with integrity, supported by comprehensive training and opportunities for professional growth within state government.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Two years of direct customer service experience.
• Typing speed 30 wpm or greater.
• Ability to use electronic systems and form templates.

Responsibilities

• Verify documents and determine eligibility for licenses/ID cards.
• Perform final review of EDL/EID applications and portfolios.
• Collect licensing fees.
• Approve or deny enhanced applications and issue EDL/EID to eligible applicants.
• Assess customer qualifications (physical, medical, visual) for licensing issuance.
• Travel to other offices as needed, including training.
