Job summary

CPS HR Consulting is seeking experienced Colorado-based Workplace Investigators to support public sector clients through state-wide assignments. This project-based W-2 opportunity emphasizes fair, objective investigations into harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and misconduct for government entities.

Independently manage investigations, conduct intake meetings, interviews, and document reviews, and prepare defensible, thorough reports while traveling as required.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with the Colorado Bar.
• Experience in public sector/government investigations.
• Experience drafting investigative reports and findings.
• Experience in unionized environments preferred.
• Background in employment or labor relations desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake meetings and develop investigation plans.
• Determine investigation scope and identify witnesses and evidence.
• Conduct interviews with complainants, respondents, and witnesses.
• Review documentation, records, policies, and other materials.
• Assess credibility and apply appropriate standards of evidence.
• Prepare comprehensive investigative reports with factual findings.
• Manage multiple investigations and meet timelines.
• Maintain neutrality, confidentiality, and professionalism.
