Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a strategy and organizational consultant to support USDOT initiatives, drive mission alignment, and collaborate with government leaders to solve complex transportation problems.

The role emphasizes critical thinking, clear communication, and client-focused delivery, with opportunities to influence policy and operations across offices. Travel up to 10% and federal/public trust eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1+ years of management consulting experience, public sector preferred.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in client service and team-based environments.

Responsibilities

• Participate in information gathering sessions with clients regarding organizational structure, process, technology, and culture.
• Develop work products that synthesize information into recommendations for client improvements.
• Present work products to clients in meetings and facilitate discussions on those items.
• Collaborate with a team to develop solutions for organizational challenges for a government client in the transit sector.
• Develop detailed project schedules to monitor performance.
• Identify and manage project risks and issues.
• Develop detailed status reports for individual programs.
• Work with stakeholders to keep projects on-time and within budget.
