Job summary

LSU New Orleans is seeking a Training Specialist to deliver instructor-led computer training to public sector employees across Louisiana, developing materials and tailoring programs to agency needs.

The role requires extensive statewide travel, strong presentation skills, and the ability to deliver both foundational and advanced computer training with a focus on Microsoft Office and related technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel within Louisiana.
• Training background in current versions of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Applications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led computer training workshops to public sector employees throughout Louisiana.
• Teach courses in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote).
• Provide instruction on Windows operating systems, file management, and internet research techniques.
• Adapt instructional methods to participants with varying technical proficiency.
• Facilitate hands-on exercises and provide individual assistance during training sessions.
• Evaluate learning outcomes and adjust instructional approaches as needed.
• Maintain high levels of customer service and professionalism representing the university and program.
