Job summary

Lake County Government in Colorado seeks a Management Analyst to provide high-level analytical and administrative support to the County Manager’s Office, coordinating complex initiatives and delivering data-driven recommendations.

The role advances organizational priorities through cross-functional collaboration, executive-ready reports, and disciplined budgeting and procurement planning. This position requires strong communication, project management, and discretion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Project Management, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level, confidential administrative support to the County Manager’s Office in daily operations and executive functions.
• Prepare and coordinate research, reports, presentations, and materials for the County Manager’s Office, Department Directors, and external partners.
• Serve as a liaison between the County Manager’s Office, Departments, Offices, and the public to ensure clear and timely communication.
• Conduct special studies and manage assigned projects to support organizational goals and decision-making.
• Oversee and administer general administrative programs; ensure compliance and improve efficiency.
• Assist with policy development and tracking of legislative and administrative initiatives.
• Coordinate agendas, scheduling, calendars, meetings, hearings, and community engagement activities.
• Support the annual budget process and help produce the budget book with narratives and charts.
• Coordinate and track strategic priorities, milestones, and deliverables with Finance input.
• Coordinate major procurement schedules and RFPs; monitor Board meetings and staff assignments.
• Develop systems and SOPs to improve operational effectiveness.
