Job summary

RH2 seeks a senior project leader to guide public-sector engineering initiatives from planning through closeout. You will coordinate multiple disciplines, review plans, and present to councils and boards, ensuring quality and clear communication across stakeholders.

The role requires a PE license in WA/OR/ID, 15+ years of experience, and strong regulatory knowledge. Remote/hybrid work with client offices is available, with a comprehensive compensation package.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
• Current P.E. license in WA, OR, and/or ID
• 15+ years of transferable experience in public/private sectors
• Experience in water, wastewater, transportation, environmental, or stormwater planning/design
• Strong project management experience in public works or consulting
• Excellent written and verbal communication for non-technical audiences
• Ability to manage multiple projects and clients
• Knowledge of local/regional design standards and codes
• Ability to work independently with sound professional judgment
• Proficiency with MS Office, Bluebeam, and project scheduling tools

Responsibilities

• Lead client interactions, review plans and documents
• Provide engineering guidance and cost opinions
• Coordinate cross-disciplinary efforts across offices
• Review schedules, budgets, and grant-related tasks
• Mentor staff and prepare contracts and proposals
• Present at hearings and manage stakeholder communications
• Ensure quality, accountability, and compliance across projects
• Collaborate with client teams and vendor partners
• Support bid/proposal activities and grant management
