Job summary

RSM US LLP seeks a senior professional to lead government risk and public sector advisory engagements. You will guide internal audit, controls and governance projects, while building key relationships with agency executives and audit committees.

Responsibilities include mentoring teams, driving business development, and representing the firm at conferences and client briefings. A strong track record in public sector services and relevant certifications is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, business, finance, public administration, or related.
• Minimum of 8 years of internal audit, internal controls, risk, compliance, or advisory experience, including 5 years in public accounting or professional services.
• Significant experience serving government/public sector organizations with governance, risk and compliance expertise.
• Demonstrated leadership in complex engagements and stakeholder communication.
• CPA, CIA, CISA or similar risk/audit credential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to practice-wide initiatives in government risk and public sector advisory.
• Lead complex internal audit engagements from planning through execution with strong client communication.
• Develop relationships with agency executives, audit committees and senior stakeholders.
• Mentor teams and provide candid feedback while aligning opportunities with career growth.
• Support business development, proposals, pursuits, and market-facing activities.
