The NYC Department of Finance, Sheriff’s Office, seeks an experienced Accountant to perform professional accounting work, conduct audits related to revenue, and maintain accurate financial records in support of enforcement activities.

Reporting to the Group Chief, duties include reconciling revenue accounts, processing weekly disbursements, recording tax warrants, ensuring compliance with policies, and preparing detailed financial reports for auditors.

Formación

• Baccalaureate degree with 24 accounting credits including advanced accounting and auditing.
• New York State CPA license is required or preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Reconcile the daily revenue accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
• Process weekly disbursements and record tax warrants.
• Ensure compliance with applicable policies and generate detailed financial reports for audits.
