Job summary

Allegan County is seeking a detail‑oriented Project Management Support professional to help plan and scope capital projects, draft scopes of work and procurement documents, and manage vendor quotes and bids. You will work cross‑functionally across facilities, IT, public safety, and health and human services to support strategic initiatives.

The role emphasizes writing, analysis and document management, with a strong focus on planning, coordination and records management.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or higher required; three years of relevant experience preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, and document management systems.

Responsibilities

• Support project planning by researching background information and compiling data.
• Draft language for scopes of work, specifications, and procurement documents.
• Research vendors, solicit quotes, and distribute RFPs for capital projects and contracts.
• Review proposals and contracts to formulate award recommendations and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress to ensure on-time, within-scope and on-budget delivery.
• Maintain and review invoices, working with vendors to resolve billing issues.
• Track active contracts, expirations, and expenditures; maintain asset life cycles.
