Job summary

BKF Engineers is seeking a Project Manager for its Government Solutions Group to lead capital improvement programs for public agencies. You’ll guide projects from concept through construction, mentor junior staff, and build client relationships while pursuing new work.

Travel to BKF locations may be required and you’ll work with a multidisciplinary team in a growing firm. Ideal candidates have a PE or EIT, ABET-accredited CE degree, and 8+ years in municipal infrastructure or public sector land

Qualifications

• 8+ years of municipal infrastructure or public-sector land development experience.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
• ABET-accredited civil engineering degree and licensure expectations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to public agency clients on capital improvement programs and staff augmentation assignments.
• Serve as Project Manager and technical leader on Government projects.
• Coordinate with City staff and project stakeholders.
• Review project documentation and monitor schedules.
• Build and lead project teams and prepare proposals defining scope, schedule and budget.
• Oversee construction management services and coordinate with inspectors, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and inspectors.
• Apply Caltrans, APWA Greenbook, and local agency standards with confidence.
