Scale AI in the United States is hiring for a hybrid Public Sector Engineer who embeds with government customers, delivering software from prototype to production and shaping Scale’s platform for critical missions.

You will build robust backends and data integrations, partner with product and engineering, and act as the technical point of contact to maximize mission impact. Travel and on-site collaboration are part of the role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in government or customer-facing contexts.
• Proficient in Python and TypeScript with strong cloud and Linux fundamentals.
• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Embed with government customers to understand missions and translate them into working software.
• Own delivery end-to-end from prototype to production and maintain solutions on-site.
• Build robust backend systems and data integrations that connect customer environments to Scale’s platform.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to feed field signals back into the roadmap.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for customer stakeholders to maximize impact.
