Job summary

The Emery Company, LLC is seeking a senior IT Architect to lead modernization and transformation programs across applications and infrastructure. You will define strategy, align roadmaps with enterprise goals, and engage with IT leaders and business stakeholders to drive secure, scalable solutions.

The role requires extensive experience in public sector-style environments, PMP certification, and strong leadership to coordinate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience leading large complex projects supporting Transformation and modernization goals and objectives.
• PMP/PMI Certification that is current.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with information technology or application support, design or analysis and/or project management.
• Experience with complex environments involving many stakeholders across infrastructure, applications, databased and technology toolsets with ambiguous requirements.
• Minimum 3 years in public service industry, especially state and local government within the past 7 years, supporting cross-functional teams and senior-level stakeholders.
• CJIS experience is desired.
• Strong verbal communication skills for high-level presentations.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent client service and maintain relationships.
• Ability to quickly learn new concepts, workflows, and systems.
• Highly organized, independent or team-oriented in fast-paced environments.
• Strong leadership and strategic planning skills to drive cross-functional initiatives.
• Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM is desired.
• Experience managing shared services teams.
• Ability to influence other people and organizations to balance competing needs.

Responsibilities

• Modernization: Define, build and align modernization models and strategy/tools with industry best practice.
• Assessments: Complete initial assessments to document current landscape and identify in-flight projects.
• Strategy/Vision/Prioritization: Develop an architectural roadmap aligning with mission and priorities.
• Hybrid Multi-cloud: Compare on-premise and cloud models and their benefits for security and speed to value.
• Collaboration/Partnership: Act as trusted advisor to IT leaders and executives and coordinate cross-functional roadmaps.
• Disaster Recovery: Understand DR plans and backup strategies; align with DR templates and tools.
• Compliance/Standard and Governance: Ensure IT governance aligned with standards and measures.
• Knowledge Management and Enablement: Conduct workshops and document work products for knowledge transfer.
