Job summary

Mfinite Consulting LLC is building a pool of help desk and desktop support professionals for contract work with North Carolina state and public-sector agencies in the Raleigh area. Assignments run 6–12 months and can be onsite or hybrid, with about 40 hours per week and a W-2 relationship.

Roles involve correcting hardware, software, account and network issues, documenting steps, and providing both hands-on and remote support. Prior government IT support experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of help desk, service desk or desktop support experience.
• Working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and remote support tools.
• Experience with a ticketing system (ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira Service Management or similar).
• Clear, patient communication with non‑technical users.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; able to pass a background check.
• Able to report onsite in the Raleigh area as the assignment requires.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone, email and ticket requests from state employees and resolve hardware, software, account and network issues.
• Log, prioritize and update tickets in ServiceNow or a similar ITSM tool.
• Reset passwords and manage user accounts (Active Directory, Microsoft 365, NCID or similar).
• Image, deploy and set up laptops, desktops, printers, phones and peripherals.
• Provide hands‑on and remote support; elevate complex issues to the right team.
• Write clear notes and simple how-to guides for common fixes.
